Rock Me Now In The Arms Of Cobwebs

Xavier Rudd's new album "Dark Shades of Blue" is my new Favourite! Album! Ever! His voice is smooth yet gravelly and the man can rock a didgeridoo like nobody's business.

With this album, Xavier Rudd has the honour of being added to the List of Artists Hillary and Shawn Agree Kick Ass (which is also known as the List of Music Hillary and Shawn Will Listen To Together Without Complaining About. Too Much.) This is a short list. We've discussed it extensively and have decided that our list consists of:

Michael Jackson
The Police
Big Wreck / Thornley
Soundgarden / Audioslave (though Chris Cornell's solo stuff is banned from this list)
Dave Matthews Band
Rage Against the Machine
The Killers

What's on your list?

  1. Did you hear about how the saxophonist from the Dave Matthews Band (LeRoi Moore) died?

  2. A list that hubby and I can listen to together? Barenaked Ladies tops it (our son likes them, too), and there are plenty of others. We're pretty respectful. He tolerates mine, and I his. Except Aerosmith. I make fun of how much he likes Aerosmith. And I reference "Dude Looks Like a Lady", even though he doesn't actually like that song.

  3. music both me and the bf can agree is is in the realm of: dave matthews band, o.a.r., rilo kelly, anything rock, and the occasional pop music that i can sneak in :)

  4. I don't have a sig other or anything, but things that I will never give up for one? MJ, Ridiculous pop music... and rap music. My ex and I had horribly different tastes in music-- aka his taste was shitty- LOL

  5. Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and yes, even Chris' solo stuff are my latest obsession. I think I love that man just a little bit.

  6. i'm pretty easily swayed, musically.... so whoever i'm dating can usually convince me to listen to whatever they like. :-)

  7. We don't have any musical tastes in common. At all. I love emo and Neil Young, he shoots himself in the foot when I put either on...
