  5. What the eff?!? That's ridiculous. Kind of smells like Keanu Reeve's recent lawsuit. Check out the redonkulous requests: http://perezhilton.com/2009-05-29-keanu-reeves-sued-for-child-support.

Hang in there - everything will straighten itself out soon enough.

  7. That is beyond ridiculous.

If he really IS a Realtor, look up the code of ethics. Seriously.

  9. YOU'VE.GOT.TO.BE.KIDDING

I can't even remotely come up with a reason why this guy would sue him. You don't even have the speakers anymore. Does this guy have nothing better to do? This is so insane. No worries, any judge would laugh at this guy and tell him to get a life. I'm pretty sure online sales are "first-come, first-served"

  13. That is seriously unbelievable.

Have you guys looked on Craigslist? Maybe they have had stuff like this happen before?

I think I would seriously go to the police and report that asshole for when he tried to extort the $200 out of Shawn.

    What an absolutely ridiculous man.

  14. counter sue this prick...find a bastard of a lawyer and rip this guy a new one!

I'd wish you luck but you won this case before it started.

  15. are you FACKING SERIOUS?!!? what a DOUCHENOZZLE. my god. i'm so sorry. i thought stupid-ass frivolous lawsuits only happened in the states.

you might want to contact craigslist and see if they have any guidance - everyone i've ever KNOWN who has used CL before has had some sort of misunderstanding situation (either the buyer doesn't show, so the seller is effed, or the seller says yes to multiple ppl and sells to the first person to show, so the buyer is effed) - this is DEFINITELY not the first time someone has responded to an ad on CL and not ended up with the merchandise.

  16. Email his employer, unless he's self-employed, and let them know that he was using company property (and probably company time) to blackmail people over the internet. Check with local authorities, too, about the blackmail angle. In some cases I'm pretty sure it's illegal to say "give me money or I'll sue you." Anyway, email is generally not considered a binding form of communication (in the States, at least). Keep records of all communication and record all phone calls. If all else fails, have someone cut his brake line. (Kidding. Sort of...)
