I Say Love It Is A Flower And You Its Only Seed

Last night was my company Christmas party.

I think my favourite part of the night was when the wife of one of my coworkers asked Shawn when we were going to have babies (because, you know, we've been married for a year and that's why people get married ... to have the babies.) He told her (and our entire table of twelve people) that I looked so good in my party dress that he was planning to go straight home to plant his seed.

That wasn't awkward at all.

  1. You've got yourself a keeper right there. You DEFINITELY want his seed. ;-)

What does your party dress look like?

  3. Awesome! He's a keeper ;)

My favourite moment from mine last night was discussing in detail with a co-workers new boyfriend why he thought it was a good idea to give her massive hickeys all over her neck when she had to go to work (she's 25!) He was mortified. It was fun :)

  5. Maybe everyone got so drunk that they forget his comment?! LOL. Either way, that's pretty hilarious.

I too would love to see a picture of the dress! :)

  7. LOL awesome. Yes, I've learned as a married woman I am not allowed to ever get sick ("ITS MORNING SICKNESS! YOURE PREGNANT!") because everyone and their mom wants to know where the babies are.

  11. That was a great way to say none of your business, without saying none of your business. And isn't gettign married for having kids, tax breaks and communal property when you get divorced?

  12. That woman DESERVED Shawn's response. I swear, I get so heated when people presumptuously ask about business that isn't theirs. I like to respond with, "Well, we're enjoying the safe sex thing too much to change course now." Anything to shut people up.

  13. Oh shiz! That's too funny!

But seriously, that's what that woman was basically asking -- when are you guys going to get it on to have a baby? Sheesh! It's crazy how people think it's OK to get all up in your business! Maybe she felt so awkward that she'll never ask anyone that question again! ha!

  14. This just further convinces me that Shawn and I are related somewhere down the line. That's something my Dad/brothers would say...

  15. Now that is some quick thinking!

    Good job, Shanwy old boy!

In other news, at my office party, I discovered that a coworker's husband has a rat-tail. I will never look at her the same way.
