With A Twelve Pack From 12th & Porter With Billy 4:30am At Night

Dear Lovely Peeps Who Commented On Yesterday's Angsty Post,

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. I was lost in my own head yesterday and you helped me find my way back out. You rock, dudes.

Love,

Dear Stella,

I'm sorry for not realizing it was your 2nd birthday yesterday until Facebook told me. Also, happy birthday!

Love,

Dear Wolfgang,

Thanks for the 4:30 wake up call this morning, buddy. Was it really necessary to continue to whine for half an hour after I took you out for a pee and gave you a drink of water and a handful of biscuits?

Sincerely,
The Lady Who Wants To Punch You

Dear Shawn,

You didn't get up because you didn't hear Wolfgang? Really? Really?

Sincerely,
The Lady Who Really Wants To Punch You

Dear Ryan Johnson,

Watching you plow into the boards during last night's hockey game was horrifying; I cried when they wheeled you off the ice on a stretcher. I am very happy that you are going to be okay.

Love,

  1. Oh my god, I cried when I saw that too. He's one of my favourite players right now. Even still, no matter who gets injured, it's still a horrific thing. Watching it in slow-mo was just way too painful. Hopefully he'll be back on the ice soon!

  2. Isn't it convenient when the hubs magically don't wake up for misbehaving dogs but will force themselves up at the crack of dawn to attend [insert favorite sporting event here]?!?

  3. I hate seeing sports injuries, especially when they keep replaying it over and over! My cousin plays professional sports and we were at one of his games and he went down injured and they kept replaying the hit over and over again on the jumbotron. Hearing 15,000 people say "Oooohhhhh" each time they show it does not make you feel any better!

  4. gaaaah. i hate watching injuries like that. it makes me feel guilty for cheering about a sport that people end up seriously injured playing.

  5. I love how the guys never hear the pets when they are whining and getting into shit when you are trying to sleep. I hear it ALL THE TIME.
That is also while I elbow T and tell him to kick the cat out of the room because I ALWAYS chase him out. I am mean like that. If I have to be awake, so do you! =)

  6. That's frustrating about Wolfgang and Shawn!!

I had that game on while I was doing a few things and caught the replay of the hit. It was really scary! He just lost his edge and was going so fast that he couldn't do much. I am glad that he caught his shoulder and not square on the head.

And you can never be too involved emotionally in your sports teams... It isn't possible!

  7. Maybe try pinching in lieu of punching. It's less obvious and very effective.

  8. Ugh! My Sean is the same way! Wakes up instantly for 99% of things, but if it's something he doesn't want to do he "sleeps through it." Grr.

  9. Pshhh. Men. Matt gets up at 3 or 4am to catch the Australian Open when it's on (oh no no I'm not kidding), but try and get up for something else. Good luck.
