She Likes Hockey And Summers By The Lake


The Vancouver Canucks are playing in the Stanley Cup Finals. They've won three games to Boston's two. The Canucks have never won a Stanley Cup. The last time they made it to the finals was in 1994. If they win tonight, they win the cup. Tonight's game is kind of a big deal is what I'm saying.

If the Canucks lose tonight, the series will go to game 7 (and my head will melt.) If necessary, game 7 will be played on Wednesday. Wednesday is also the night of our hospital tour. The hospital tour that is impossible to reschedule. So can we all think happy, winning thoughts for the Canucks tonight? Because I am 99% sure that I will chose hockey over the hospital tour if forced to chose and I am 100% sure that I will feel like an asshole for doing so.

    I have a few friends and family in the Vancouver area. I have a lot of friends and family in the Boston area. To state things bluntly, my Facebook news feed is fired up!!!!

    I don't know how critical the hospital tour is, honestly. Just make sure you know how to get there and where registration is. They're going to stop you at the front desk anyway.

    So excited for the game tonight. Makes me wish we had a REAL TV and didn't have to watch it on our tiny laptop screens. Oh well, it is what it is!

    Sorry that the Canucks didn't win last night, I was really pulling for them! I'll be watching on Wednesay with my Vamcouver bells on!

    Good luck with your watching decision. I say skip the hospital!! (but I am a biased hockey fan.)

    Having the benefit of knowing the future, I can say I'm so sorry they got pushed to Game 7. But at least it will make for an exciting game!

    I have a thing to go to tomorrow night too, which I was considering weaseling my way out of, buuut on the east coast the game will be on so late I should be able to do both. This Game 7 business is making me very stressy. Last night was insane.

    I totally paid attention to the hockey game just to see if you'd have to make a decision! A hospital is a hospital. Go in the front door and people will point you in the right direction. Watch the game!

    Agreed - I got emails that all my kickboxing and previously other events were all cancelled. The hospital is dumb - they know you can't go. The Canucks need you as we are on HOME ICE! OMG, last night was stressful. We all wanted them to win - but really, they need to do it on home ice.
    So wave your towels and the hospital can wait :)
