Last Monday, my doctor told me to go ahead and make this week's appointment but that she would be "shocked" if I actually made it that long without giving birth. Which was exciting to hear at the time but is now just massively annoying, seeing as this week's appointment is in an hour.
I know that due dates are not an exact science and Willie will come when he's ready and I'm lucky to have a full-term baby, etc. I know. I'm just having a bit of a Monday morning pity party. Who wants to join me? What's currently chapping your ass?
I'm sure Willie will arrive soon! I haven't blogged or commented in forever, but congratulations on almost being a mom :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's chapping MY ass?
ReplyDeleteOh good lord, lady, everything. Work, chores, summer, time...And I don't even have a full term baby stubbornly sitting in my gut.
Consequently, I am an absolute DELIGHT to be around today. Hope your day improves, Willie starts moving towards the exit, and you find labor DELIGHTFULLY easy.
Oh, so close now! I've been thinking about you... keeping my fingers crossed he'll make an appearance soon, and all will go smoothly :)

ReplyDeleteI've been laughing at the pumpkin image since I saw Instagram. Um, pumpkins are ROUND.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, lady.
Chapping my ass? Not much, being back from an amazing vacation. Though the 6 a.m. wake-up wasn't my fave.
xoxo
And I thought watermelon was intimidating! PUMPKIN!
ReplyDeleteI'm in a pretty good mood considering it's Monday. My hair dresser canceled on me on Saturday (she got food poisoning) so she rebooked me for today. Good news is I get to leave an hour early today. Bad news is I'll be doing a 12 hr today tomorrow to make up for it. Bah!
You're almost there! :D
Jordan was a week overdue and it was August and I was huge and hot and bitterbitterbitter. The positive, of course, is that you have a baby who has had more time to put on weight and develop. You know all the negatives. Treat yourself nicely. Watch trashy TV. Drink milkshakes every hour if you feel like it. Good luck, hunny bunny!
ReplyDeleteHe'll come soon- I'll double my wishing as part of the efforts ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Willie to get here! I am excited!
ReplyDeleteAlso the pumpkin thing made me giggle.
Chapping my ass? Same old same old, bullshit work.
a PUMPKIN!? good lord, that is NOT THE KIND OF SHAPE you want something inside of you to be compared to. that's just cruel.
ReplyDeletethis must mean that willie will make a nice, speedy, uncomplicated exit, after making you wait so long... right? :)
A pumpkin? Damn. You can totally do this! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe thing chapping my ass is not something I can write about on the internet (even in someone else's comments, sadly) so instead I'll just wish you some "come soon, baby!" vibes and hope the blanket I finally finally mailed today gets to you and you find it useful. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's like he heard you ... and maybe everyone else too. :-)
